Book review:
Animal Farm by George Orwell

Αποτέλεσμα εικόνας για animal farm   Recently, I finished another book from my ultimate classics reading list, Animal Farm by George Orwell, which was released on 17 August 1945. My rate for this book would be 4/5.

- Goodreads Synopsis -
A farm is taken over by its overworked, mistreated animals. With flaming idealism and stirring slogans, they set out to create a paradise of progress, justice, and equality. Thus the stage is set for one of the most telling satiric fables ever penned –a razor-edged fairy tale for grown-ups that records the evolution from revolution against tyranny to a totalitarianism just as terrible.
When Animal Farm was first published, Stalinist Russia was seen as its target. Today it is devastatingly clear that wherever and whenever freedom is attacked, under whatever banner, the cutting clarity and savage comedy of George Orwell’s masterpiece have a meaning and message still ferociously fresh.

- Review -

Wow. Everything in this book happened literally in a  flash. Even though, the main characters are animals all of the emotions are very realistic. I could even feel sorry for the animals that were treated in a bad way and couldn't do anything to protect themselves 😥! However, I think I couldn't see enough stuff from the characters' point of view and, as a result, besides the feelings, I wasn't close enough to them and I couldn't understand their way of thinking. 😕

All in all, there is no doubt that this book is pure "Ink for Thought" and it's amazing how its moral is still fresh nowadays. 😃
