 Adventure and Science fiction

When you read an adventure book you need a lot of light. So you’d better read it during the morning or the noon. Also, if the weather is sunny you can read outdoors. Otherwise, I would recommend reading it on your bed, but a chair is okay too.

Murder mystery or Thriller

As a murder mystery books fan I’ve mastered this type of atmosphere! Read it at night, with low lighting and maybe some relaxing music will help too!

Drama, Historical, and non-fiction generally

Non-fiction books need light too! If you have free time you can read such books in the afternoon, when your mind is clear. Find a comfortable seat, take some paper towels (when it comes to drama) and start reading!
