Review, Charles Dickens, Great expectations
Charles Dickens, Great exectations
Great expectations is the story of Pip, an orphan boy adopted by a Blacksmith's family, who has good luck and great expectations and then loses both his luck and his expectations.
Through this rise and fall, however, Pip learns how to find hapiness. He learns the meaning of frienship and love and, of course, becomes a better person for it.
In terms of my personal opinion, I think that this is a dark, but stunning, story! Many people could say that this book is difficult to understand. Ι wouldn't agree though. The characters are incredible and all of them have a special role. What is more, you're free to hate or love each of them. Finally, I think that it has to mainly do with the people's change!
Oh! And, if you want my advice, you'd better NOT read the back
cover; it's too spoiling!
